Those dealing with the neurological condition multiple sclerosis in the Cayman Islands received immense support at the inaugural fundraising event, Pretty on the Outside, on Saturday, March 11.

MS affects your nerves, caused when your immune system isn’t working properly.

Organized by the MS Foundation of the Cayman Islands at the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, it was a fabulous night. The MS Foundation collaborated with Louise & Eleanor, an American-based handbag company. The night consisted of a fashion show, featuring the handbags and clutches created by Louise & Eleanor

.

The bags were modelled by Miss Cayman Islands contestants. Alyssa Christian, chair of the foundation, created a clutch with Louise & Eleanor specifically for MS, The Hope Bag, which was launched at the end of the fashion show. While MS affects more women than men, they certainly didn’t want to exclude the men. Working alongside Barry Beaux, a bow tie was created to match The Hope Bag. A silent auction of the bags and bowties, along with a variety of other auction items also raised funds.
